Zongzi in the old days

Zongzi is a traditional Chinese dish made of sticky rice with various stuffing inside, and wrapped in bamboo leaves. It’s a unique dish associated with Duanwu Festival (also known as Dragon Boat Festival), which falls on the fifth day of the fifty month of the lunar calendar.

Stuffing inside sticky rice is usually something sweet, like dates, or meat.

Liziqi posted a short video introducing a rather unique wrapper: the shells of bamboo shoots, instead of traditional leaves.

  1. I would love to see a COOKBOOK.
Even an English translation would be great. I’m fascinated by your ingredients. 😊
